Hey Reader, Today I woke up feeling refreshed. Honestly, that’s not always normal for me on a Friday. So I paused and asked myself, What did I do differently? I ate dinner earlier. I had a healthy green drink instead of reaching for something heavy. But more than that, I mentally prepared for rest. I knew that when the sun set, I wanted to step fully into Sabbath mode, not ease into it halfway distracted. Because if I’m honest, this week has felt nonstop. Have you ever been in a season where you know you can’t keep this pace forever, yet you also see the undeniable evidence of God’s grace carrying you through it? That is this season for me. I’m living in the tension of a very full season while sensing the calm of what’s ahead. And lately I’ve been pondering something deeply… what does it actually look like to tell others about Jesus in this kind of life? Working from home means I’m not naturally around as many people. It requires greater intentionality. A deeper awareness. A reframing of what it means to spread the gospel. I didn’t grow up seeing it modeled quietly or relationally. I saw street corners, bullhorns, and stacks of tracts. But as we continue walking through the books of Thessalonians together, we’re watching Paul teach truth and share the gospel in whatever environment he found himself in. So I’m asking myself this weekend, and I want to ask you too: What does that look like for us… right where we are? As you spend time with God this weekend, I encourage you to watch the latest teaching on 1 Thessalonians 1. Let it stir your heart and give language to what faithful witness can look like in your actual life, not an imagined one. Let this be a weekend of reflection, rest, and quiet readiness.
P.S. I’d love your help. I’m working on a new devotional on this very topic and trying to decide between two possible titles.

Hey Reader, If you’ve been around for a while, you may remember me talking about the difference between purpose and assignment. It’s something that’s been on my heart for a long time. And lately, it’s been coming back up again, so I want to sit with you in it for a bit today. I’ve always defined purpose as fulfilling the Great Commission—making disciples, telling people the truth about who Jesus is, and bringing souls to Christ. That part is the same for all of us. No matter your role, your...
Hey Reader, Lately, I’ve been noticing something I can’t ignore anymore. Since going back to teaching full-time two years ago, I still haven’t found a rhythm that truly works. Most days feel scattered as I move from one responsibility to the next, until Friday finally arrives and everything slows down. And if I’m honest, that lack of rhythm hasn’t just impacted me. It’s affected how I show up in every area of my life. Maybe you know that feeling too. You’re doing what needs to be done. You’re...
