Hey Reader, Lately, I’ve been noticing something I can’t ignore anymore. Since going back to teaching full-time two years ago, I still haven’t found a rhythm that truly works. Most days feel scattered as I move from one responsibility to the next, until Friday finally arrives and everything slows down. And if I’m honest, that lack of rhythm hasn’t just impacted me. It’s affected how I show up in every area of my life. Maybe you know that feeling too. You’re doing what needs to be done. You’re showing up, but underneath it all, something feels off. Things feel unsteady and ultimately they are unsustainable. That's where I've been! So I’ve been praying a simple prayer: Lord, help me find a rhythm that works. Not one that shifts with every demand, but one that is rooted in Him. Realistically, there are parts of my life that are consistent. My time in the Word is one of them. But even accomplishing that in this season has felt a little like climbing up a steep hill everyday. And now that I see it clearly, I know I can’t just ignore it. I also know I don’t want discouragement to lead here because the Word gives us a better way. And for me, it begins with rest. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” That rest begins when we actually go to God. When we pause long enough to meet Him in that place of burden, weariness, and disorder. Then he gives us rest. I’ve been realizing something else lately as well. I already have a rhythm that works. I just haven’t been applying it everywhere. On the weekends, I slow down, read my Bible, write in my prayer journal, and watch Bible teachings. I’m more present with my husband and my kids but I also make sure that I sleep in a little later and simply find ways to rest. I intentionally put my phone and even my watch away so I can be fully present (I admittedly still struggle with this some days). But the intentionality is there which made me decide that what works on the weekends can begin to shape my weekdays. Reader, sometimes we don’t need to start over. We just need to carry what’s already working into the places that aren’t. That’s what a Weekend in the Word has become for me. Not just a title, but a reset. It's a return and a reminder that what will help me create better rhythm in my life starts in this moment. So this weekend, I want to invite you into that same space. And if you need a place to begin, spend some time catching up on our study through Thessalonians. Let it guide you, not into checking a box, but into actually spending time with God this weekend.

Hey Reader, Today is Good Friday. This weekend carries a weight that doesn't come around often — and I don't want to rush past it. Lately, I've been reading through Leviticus, and I've found myself loving it more than I expected. Not because it's easy, but because it gives language and structure to what Jesus ultimately fulfilled. Especially in Leviticus 23, where God establishes appointed festivals for His people — sacred rhythms of remembrance. These weren't random celebrations. They were...
