Happy Global Bible Month!Hey Reader, If you know me, you know how much I love God’s Word. In fact, if you asked my children to name one thing their mommy loves, they’d probably say, “Reading the Bible!” The Bible has transformed my life, and I love helping others fall in love with God and His Word, too. That’s why I call myself a Bible Student-Teacher. I love how Luke 6:40 reminds me that a student is not above their teacher. No matter how much I teach Scripture, I’m still a student learning at the feet of the Master. Recently, I attended and shared at the YouVersion Summit, connecting with friends and fellow ministry partners who share that passion. Seeing the impact of Bible engagement around the world made me even more excited for this month. Global Bible Month is like my spiritual NFL season! It’s an opportunity to proclaim the truth we live by while committing to 30 days of growing deeper in Scripture. Think of it as a spiritual reset. And that brings me to something the Lord has been stirring in my heart these past few months. I want to help us move beyond simply reading the Bible to understanding it and walking it out. I’m excited to share more soon, including something special I’ve been working on! In the meantime, here are three ways you can participate: 1. Commit to reading daily. My updated 30-day Threads Bible plan on YouVersion explores how Scripture connects from Genesis to Revelation, including the role of Israel’s twelve tribes in the unfolding biblical story. The goal is to help you read with understanding, not simply complete a chapter. If you’ve read Threads before, start fresh! I’ve revised and expanded it to help you recognize connections you may have missed.
2. Invite a friend. I recently met virtually with a church that completed one of my Bible plans together. They shared how much more valuable the experience was because they could discuss what they were learning rather than study alone. That’s the beauty of Plans with Friends! 3. Pray before you begin. Ask the Lord what He wants to strengthen in you over these next 30 days. There are wonderful plans on YouVersion, and while I’d love for you to read mine, I want you to follow His leading because He knows just what you need! Start the Updated Threads Bible Plan Lastly, we’ve got some fun and surprises ahead this month, so be sure to check your emails and share with others!

Hey Reader, October has been FULL! From speaking with friends at the YouVersion Summit to celebrating our anniversary, homecoming send-offs, senior pictures, and now a birthday celebration to close out the month! And as I’ve looked around in the midst of it all, one thing has become increasingly clear to me. God’s love has been evident and constant. This week, I’ve found myself reflecting on His faithfulness throughout this past season and I’m reminded of Psalm 100:5: “For the Lord is good...

Together with Hey Reader, Most weekends, during my Saturday Sabbath time of rest, I enjoy watching documentaries and learning about the lives of Christian leaders, pastors, and martyrs throughout history. There’s something about hearing their stories that reminds me of the significance of our faith and challenges me to consider what it truly means to live a life devoted to Jesus. I’ll never forget learning what it meant to be a martyr when I was a teenager. I knew about Stephen in the Bible,...
